Lectors — Confirmed men and women proclaim the Word of God at Mass and liturgical celebrations. The Ministry of Lector demands participation in the life of the church which includes weekly Mass attendance. All liturgical ministers ought to be in “good standing” with the Catholic Church’s teaching regarding marriage and chastity.
Lectors proclaim the Word of God clearly and understandably so that all who hear my respond.
