Because the cost of replacing our broken 14th station will be in the thousands of dollars, and after examination of the others which are very frail after 125 years, we have decided to replace our 14 stations of the cross in the church.
Carved in linden wood, on location in Italy by a world-renowned carving house located in the Val Gardena region of Northern Italy. Skilled woodcarvers living in the Alps have produced beautiful woodcarvings for generations from timber native to the region. These heirloom quality pieces are sought after worldwide. This set of Gothic-style Stations of the Cross will aesthetically harmonize with the architecture of our church. Each of the 14 stations is intricately hand-carved and includes fine details and are finished by-hand using warm soft shades of tinting. The hand-carved lattice design and turned columns with finials frame each station beautifully. Each station has a wooden Cross in Roman numeral. Each station is 30” high and 18” wide. The cost of each station was $1,100.
